Was watching the season 1 finale of True Detective and got curious about the abandoned fort they were using (Fort Mcomb in Louisiana). Seems it was built entirely of brick. I don't know nothin' from nothin', but can anyone explain the usefulness of a 19th century fort built of brick? Seems like it wouldn't last a week under siege.
